CBZ Holdings Announces New Director

With a lifelong interest in educating herself, Rebecca Gaskin Gain has completed education and training in finance, language, law, and history during her life. Rebecca Gaskin Gain is currently an independent non-executive director for CBZ Holdings, a financial firm that recently passed the torch from one director to another.

CBZ Holdings is a Zimbabwe, Africa-based financial firm that deals with everything from investments to life insurance during daily operations. As of December 31, 2021, director Peter Zimunya will be effectively ending his 40-plus year career in finance. He started with CBZ Holdings in 1995 at CBZ Bank and has held multiple positions, including CEO, in his more than 25 years with the company.

Replacing Mr. Zimunya as director of CBZ Holdings is Lawrence Nyazema. Mr. Nyazema has two decades of experience in the financial sector, including almost 20 years with Barclays/First Capital Bank. Hired in January 2020 to be the Wholesale Banking executive director, Lawrence Nyazema has the experience and knowledge needed to see the company into the future. With the green energy revolution exploding in Africa, CBZ Holdings should see steady growth and business in the years to come under Mr. Nyazema.
