CBZ Bank Partners with Fastjet on a New Flight Payment Technique

Since 2020, Rebecca Gaskin Gain has served as an independent non-executive director at Zimbabwe’s CBZ Holdings.

A wholly-owned company by CBZ Holdings Limited, CBZ Bank is a leading financial services group partnered with Fastjet, Africa’s award-winning airline. The partnership aims to introduce an additional payment option for purchasing Fastjet tickets at any of 45 CBZ Bank branches across Zimbabwe. The new payment channel makes it possible for Fastjet customers to conveniently and safely make bookings while enabling them to complete their flight payments within the banking hall.

Once a customer has reserved a seat from the Fastjet website, travel shop, or call center, they only need to present their reference number of a confirmation booking receipt at any CBZ bank teller, so long it is within the validity period. According to Peter Zimunya, the Managing Director of CBZ Bank, the partnership geared towards providing a seamless service to clients aims to boost Zimbabwe’s economy. Fastjet, on the other hand, said it was looking for innovative ways to boost customer experience, and the new cooperation with CBZ Bank will simplify how customers make payments for online bookings.
