Founded in 1995 by banker Jim Bruene, Finnovate has hosted fintech conferences for over 20 years. Using the experience they gained as conference planners, Finnovate collaborated with respected firms like Lending Club, Mint, and more, to host their own event in 2007 in New York. Motivated by the event’s success, Finnovate created similar conferences in the San Francisco Bay Area in 2008, and added international events over the succeeding years.

During the Finnovate 2018 conference between September 24 and 26 in New York, attendees not only attended panels about pressing issues and developments for financial technology and banking, but they also witnessed and participated in product demos. Topics discussed included how to create better crowdfunding platforms, foster successful relationships between startups and investors, and what comprised successful customer experiences.
